Mom's Day, Truffles, and Tortes and a few strawberries

Happy Mother's day to all my blogger friends! I hope everyone has some special plans with their loved ones for the day.

Doug and Aaron are going to pamper me in the morning. I think they have some choc. covered strawberries in mind, along with some yummy brunch items.

We even have some yummy pastries .......(Vanilla Bean cheesecake Rhumba)? from this wonderful pastry shoppe: Truffles and Tortes.

I enjoyed my Saturday shopping for some special MOM items(clothes), and will be going out for dinner later for Celebrating Mom's Day with the In-laws.

Happy Mother's Day Weekend

I hope everyone has a really fun Mother's day weekend. I hope ALL you wonderful Mother's get pampered on Sunday. Here is a card my son made for me in school. It's super cute! The tea pot card had some orange spice Tea inside the card. Although, I think my son got a few details mixed up. LOL~like i have brown eyes? and I like Tuna(hee hee).

I put the card on my fridge! Happy Mother's Day!!!

Mom Day

I hope everyone had a GREAT Mother's Day! We had a wonderful sunny day in Minnesota. I heard other parts got SNOW. Can't believe I uttered those words in May. Luckily we had a sun filled day. It was suppose to be ugly and gloomy ....so that was a wonderful Mother's Day Present from GOD! Thanks! I bought this cake for our dinner. My MIL(pix below) loves Mexican....so I made her Favorite Chicken Enchilada Bake. Along with it we made Spanish Rice and Black Beans. We invited my MIL and FIL over for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day with Us.

I tried to spice up my kitchen table and make it feel like a brunch type dinner. I pulled that look together in about five minutes(LOL)!

Aaron was going to go home with my MIL and FIL afterwords, but he got sick. Started getting ill yesterday. Now tonight he had a fever. Poor little guy! He has a really bad cough and congestion. I was going to call my mom...........and than we had to deal with a fever child all night. So I missed out wishing my mom a Happy mother's Day. I did send her a card and gift.

Other than Aaron being sick....I had a nice mother's day. Doug brought me breakfast in bed ..................and did dishes. I got to sleep in/now that's all a Mother ever wants(ha)!

Happy Mom's Day. PS-we put Mom Day on the cake. We bought the cake small so we wouldn't have left overs, and the cake was so tiny....we didn't have enough room to write mother's day. So we just simply wrote: MOM Day.

It's Waffles, reddi whip, strawberries with crushed Oreo cookies

and walnuts on top. It was yummy!
