Snowmobiling with My Sister

My sister Wanda was up visiting over the Holidays. She lives in Indianapolis, IN. She was up to visit family over the holiday. She stayed the weekend with us. It was totally fun. We picked her up in Edina at Southdale Mall..........and Wanda treated us to Cheesecake Factory. Wanda had the CHICKEN MADEIRA(no picture) Our Most Popular Chicken Dish! Sauteed Chicken Breast Topped with Fresh Asparagus and Melted Mozzarella Cheese, Covered with Fresh Mushroom Madeira Sauce. Served with Mashed Potatoes. I had the Orange chicken:

Doug had Fish and chips.

The next day we went shopping and picked up some movies. Sunday we decided to go riding on the sleds. Oh, we had a great time. The last time Wanda was on a sled was in the mid 80's. Ha! So glad she was willing to come riding with us on the trails. She did a great job too. Never would guess she hadn't been on a sled in long time. It's just like riding a bike, never forget.

Wanda Tried every sled out: She first rode the Polaris(Doug got it working good, so no worries)and She tried out Dave's Artic Cat(which is the newest sled) and She even tried out Doug's Yamaha Exciter. Wanda than tried my sled...........the Yamaha Phazer. She so nicely called it the "Bucking Bronco" sled. Ha ha ha! I guess i am the only one that likes the phazer. That said, it is a nice sled but ONLY on a nice Smooth Trail. The trail was NOT smooth. It was Sunday and we usually don't sled on Sunday. As the trails are usually too beat up and not groomed. So they are too bumpy. My sled doesn't fare well on bumps. I need better suspension. Doug and Dave's sled are really good for suspension. They ride smooth. I do have to admit I was completely sore the next day after riding. Maybe the phazer is a bucking Bronco?

We rode the trails by Pine City and Hinkley(St. Croix State Park). We trailered the sleds up that way and parked. Took off near the St. Croix State Park and took the trail to Hinkley to eat. We ended up going to Tobie's. We never have good luck eating at that restaurant. All our food was disappointing. On the way home on the trails.....it was even more disappointing as my ride was bumpy and that awful food in my tummy(you can imagine-the stomach ache I had)? Ha! Thought I was going to ralph. I didn't and we made it back to the parking lot. Here is a slide show of our snowmobile trail excursion.

On the way back we stopped and took a video of our ride. Doug and Wanda rode over a wintry bridge in the woods. Check it out(sorry the vid is dark again. I take my vids too late in the evening).

After our fun time on the trails. The next day we watched some DVDs we rented. Wanda suggested the Bourne Identity movie trilogy.

I never seen any of those movies. We really enjoyed them all. Thanks Wanda for the nice visit. Wanda Ended up leaving before New Years Eve. So Doug and I just watched some more movies(Nanny Diaries) and a Mandy Moore Movie(License to Wed).

Doug and I made Cheesy Bites as seen on the Rachel Ray Show. We loved the cheesy bites but didn't like the sauce. We threw it out and made our own. Ha! The cheesy bites are very similar to our potato patties we make only the cheesy bites are deep fried. We used our new deep fryer cooker. It was slick. We had a good time and a great Holiday. So glad my sister was here and we enjoyed her visit.
