What I like about My holiday home

Welcome to my Holiday Home as part of the blog party hosted by Karla's Cottage. If you want to surf some holiday homes take a peek at her post: What I like about my Holiday Home blog party. I'll be busy tonight and tomorrow with peeking into every one's homes for Christmas Cheer. Well, it's time to share my Holiday Cheer and home with all of you.

Here is my entry way to my home. It's kept very simple. Just some small lighted trees in my urn planters. Add a string of garland over the door and my wreath.

I love these little trees. We just bought Pre-lighted artificial trees and put them in my urns. I use colored lights on my wreath and trees. Mainly because we put a candle in every window in the front of our home.

Here is a photo of our house at Night. Our home is a colonial style home. The traditional thing to do with Colonial homes is to put the candles in each front facing window. This is what we do. Thus, why I put a little bit of color to my trees and wreath. Otherwise, it would be too much WHITE lights. This seems to be a good contrast. We opt to not put lights on the house roof or in the shrubs. Just try to keep it easy and simple. My Dh loves that! No climbing on the roof!!!

Another view of the outside of our home. This time a wonderful snowfall pix. These photos are a couple years old already. Nothing has changed except for our front lantern lights on our home.

Another view during the daytime. Along with the candles we add some wreaths to each window of the front of the home. I've seen some colonial style homes do this wreath business in every window and so wanted to do that. Now I have but this year..........we opted to go with just the candles. Nice thing ..........can change it up every so often.

If you want to take an even closer detailed look inside. I have some links from last years posts. I made post last year of every holiday room. So thought I would just link it here instead of re posting it all. Come on inside and have a cup of hot coffee and or tea and take a look around.

More FUN Christmas Cheer Below

Gotta love PRESENTS in the holiday HOME. I wrapped these two presents to my Sister Franny and My Brother Paul. I wrapped them in true scrapbook style.~ha! Maybe tearing technique is better left to a scrapbook page huh? LOL! Either way it was FUN!

Decorating the dog is even more FUN~ha! I was lucky enough to get these photos of Muffin tonight after she got back from the groomer(Muffin regular groomer lady is still around...hasn't moved yet because she couldn't sell her home-thus another grooming appt. by sandy-YEAH)! I love the poinsettia bows and scarf..........so festive!

Below is my Holiday Area of my kitchen.............I kept various goodies and treats in Christmas dishes here in this spot. Aaron loves the Frosty the snowman and Rodolph light up wood characters. These were some of my first ever Christmas decor.

Thanks for looking at my holiday home. Enjoy the rest of the blog party and remember if you got time.....jot down a comment to let me know you were here. Merry Christmas and Holiday from our house to YOURS.

PS-Check back tomorrow for another blog party. I'll be posting my holiday treats and more random fun things.
